D[X]P 05-23-2004, 06:25 PM Looks pretty good. Did you use the grid technique? LilGmoney 05-23-2004, 06:27 PM No I didn't lostprophets 05-23-2004, 06:29 PM start shading at the very edge of the hood.....(left side) using a reference pic for shading SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-23-2004, 06:32 PM no dont start shading put up the reference pic, something doesnt look right 300zx...i dont think people draw those, maybe like one or two people drew that car here...nice to see you drawing it...lots of dot dot dots, haha yeah, outlines take me a long time too but practice makes perfect looks cool reference reference reference oh and for the shading, i usually do all the blacks first, the deep blacks like the shadow, tire, and window trim then i go from there.. LilGmoney 05-23-2004, 06:35 PM thanks to "stuffbyalex" for the reference pic, which is http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9199/301078_9_full.jpg D[X]P 05-23-2004, 07:02 PM Damn, how did you get the outline looking so porportional without using a grid. DAMN! castback 05-23-2004, 08:14 PM i don't know about the front. maybe it should be a little longer...or something is wrong with the front. it is very good though  very nice choice of car GTmike400 05-23-2004, 09:47 PM Its a nice outline. LilGmoney 05-23-2004, 11:32 PM what the bloody hell is that? lemorris 05-23-2004, 11:43 PM Gettin better LilGmoney, Maybe your scan doesn't do the overall drawing justice. I might suggest making those dark areas darker. Your wheels kinda fall off on the back side. It could be mechanical. Try to draw with your arm more. The longer smoother arc will serve you well. Overall...Thumbs up. Do more. -Lemorris D[X]P 05-24-2004, 12:55 AM Not bad. Grr I want to draw now but I cant cause I am doing schoolwork..grr metal 05-24-2004, 02:11 PM http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/169064DCP_1686_copy-med.jpg For all of you that are too lazy to click his link =P Looks pretty good to me, dunno whats going on with the back wheel, looks like its melting or something  Shading is pretty nice too :) SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-24-2004, 05:01 PM rims need work, and so does shading, if sumthing it totally dark in the pic, it should be totally dark in your drawing...the wheels should be darker and also the body kit indents need to be way darker bonzelite 05-24-2004, 05:59 PM looks like verging on kartoon kar layout. car is stubby. it is ok at this point, but make a choice: kartoon or reality. make that choice. if you go kartoon, you still need to know reality. so it is not easy either way. get a model of that car. study the model. hold it in your hand. look at it from many angles. watch to see how it behaves. know the enemy and make it your ally. observe how 3-d space alters the car that you think you know so well. you will see that you do not really know it as well as you think you do. cheers, mate.:) lostprophets 05-24-2004, 06:11 PM looks like verging on kartoon kar layout. car is stubby. it is ok at this point, but make a choice: kartoon or reality. make that choice. if you go kartoon, you still need to know reality. so it is not easy either way. get a model of that car. study the model. hold it in your hand. look at it from many angles. watch to see how it behaves. know the enemy and make it your ally. observe how 3-d space alters the car that you think you know so well. you will see that you do not really know it as well as you think you do. cheers, mate.:) :iagree: if this guy cant teach you anything you need to quit drawing forever and ever.... castback 05-24-2004, 08:59 PM :iagree: if this guy cant teach you anything you need to quit drawing forever and ever.... the thing is....i tought bonza....lol....jk i do think it is your best. at this rate youll be teaching us all in about.....hmmm....hard to say  vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
