Jay! 05-23-2004, 07:04 PM Do you mean the USDM or JDM or EDM '04 STi? I say 22B. "Better" styling ( :2cents: ) and ultra beefy torque curve. (but maybe a 22B w/ 2.5 liter block... wow!) freakray 05-23-2004, 08:14 PM 22B.... That's if you're comparing the JDM STI and 22B. So what were you wanting to compare? c32b1 NSX 05-23-2004, 08:16 PM yup usdm. dont know the jdm specs. freakray 05-23-2004, 08:19 PM Do you know the 22B specs? freakray 05-23-2004, 08:26 PM Impreza STI 22B Displacement: 2212 cc Weight: 2793 lbs Power: 290.1 bhp@6500 rpm Torque: 263 ft lbs @ 3200 rpm Transmission: manual 5 speed Top speed: 163.4 mph Quarter mile: 12.5 s 0 - 60mph: 4.2s 0 - 100mph: 12.4s USDM Impreza STI Displacement: 2498 cc Weight: 3263 lbs Power: 300hp@ 6000rpm Torque: 300 ft.lbs @ 4000rpm Transmission: manual 6 speed Top Speed: 155 mph Quarter mile: 13.23 s 0-60mph: 4.87s c32b1 NSX 05-23-2004, 09:09 PM yup i know the 22b specs. its my favorite impreza. watch this. http://www.22b.com/vid_misc.htm watch the motorweek one. freakray 05-23-2004, 09:11 PM So if you know the spec, why are you asking this question? c32b1 NSX 05-24-2004, 02:47 PM all i wanted to know is that which one people like better. freakray 05-24-2004, 03:27 PM I like both, does that make sense? I would accept either at any time, without hesitation. keita 05-27-2004, 05:13 PM Now, tell me Something... 22B has less torque and HP, but much faster... why would that be? Is it much lighter? LjasonL 05-27-2004, 05:41 PM It's underrated... some sources say the 22B makes almost 350hp keita 05-27-2004, 05:49 PM a-ha, thanks man. Jay! 05-27-2004, 06:22 PM Actually, from the research I've done, 22B owners from the UK state that their cars dyno at almost exactly 276 or 280 hp (or ps?) or whatever the "limit" is supposed to be... The difference is that the 22B has such a HUGE torque curve that's big and flat like a kitchen table so the power is available all over the powerband. It's people that are used to driving the turbo 2.0 that claim it to be "underrated," because it has SO MUCH more useable torque than the usual WRX motors. freakray 05-27-2004, 07:36 PM Now, tell me Something... 22B has less torque and HP, but much faster... why would that be? Is it much lighter? If you read my post with the comparative specs on the cars, you would have seen I posted the weight of both cars there. LjasonL 05-27-2004, 10:24 PM Actually, from the research I've done, 22B owners from the UK state that their cars dyno at almost exactly 276 or 280 hp At the wheels? :naughty: 280 whp would be nearly 350 hp. Jay! 05-28-2004, 01:22 AM Oh. I don't know if it said either way... Of course I can't find the page again. I think I got to it from 22b.com . Argh. LjasonL 05-28-2004, 08:58 AM Oh well, I would believe it either way vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
