I have a 2002 Malibu. I attempted to replace the rear speakers, but changed my mine. Now, I cannot get the covers to go back on properly.
The problem is that there are metal clips attached to the speaker covers. These clips are used to give the covers a snug fit to the baseboard. I cannot seem to get the clips to go back underneath the baseboard. Anyone have any ideas??

Well what kinda speakers are they? I put kicker 6X9's in my malibu and they are 3 way. The tweeters on them stuck out to high i didnt put those covers back on. Your speakers are probably just too big to place the cover back on.

I didn't replace the speakers, Harryc8786. As I said, I changed my mine.
The original speakers are still in my car. I'm trying to figure out how to
to get the metal clips on the speakers covers to go back in place.

oh, you changed your mind.
What kind of speakers were you going to replace the stock ones with?
