I like the Challenger idea, but I'd drop in a 528 Hemi and twin turbocharge it. Then I'd completely work over the suspension and do some work to lighten it.

Well, there's always a Porsche 914 that's been lightened to around 1500lbs, with a mildly tuned 993 3.6 liter engine with variable valve timing tuned for about 360hp, custom fabricated double wishbone suspension all around with pushrod coilovers all around, "Big Red" brakes from the 993 Turbo, and a roll cage that is tied in to front and rear tubular subframes that connect the strut towers.

Oh, and ungodly large tires, 275/30/17s on the front, 335/30/17s on the back.

a 1995 GS-T spyder, but I want to take the driveline out of the 1995 GSX and put it in the gst, so in essence I have a convertible GSX (gst spyders have same mounting points as gsx) lowered with a deep ocean blue paint job and the supra wing.

my fun fun car:

1992 R32 GT-R, gloss black, bronze nismo wheels, all nismo'd out with a lhd conversion.

Take an '03 Crown Vic (loaded but a cloth interior), drop in a Marauder engine, put the Marauder's dash / guages / console in it.

Put on a giant intercooler, new intake and exhaust, and a great big supercharger.

Then find a manual tranny that will work with the whole set-up.

Delorean, with the engine and tranny from a Lotus Esprit Twin Turbo V8...year '01 i just happen to really like. Add a huge intercooler and a few adjustments to make it all work together for daily driving.

'04 F350 crew cab short box single rear wheel King Ranch Lariat Diesel with FX4. Add on this 6 stage turbo/tuning/exhaust kit i saw on 'Trucks' for the Powerstroke with the automatic tranny.

I think that would make a good fleet!

I'll throw in a Cadillac Escalade EXT with 22 inch rims for cruisin for women!

show me were you got your info from. everyone here knows about the mclaren, but 0-60 in 2.9 sec? were is this at? i thought it was 3.4

and i'm willing to bet that in straight line performance the koenigsegg is gonna give the mclaren a run for its money from 0-240mph

that last koenigsegg top speed listing i saw was 225ish...
they've not officially given the 241 an official run...

cars like the enzo and carrera gt can give the f1 a run for it's money if you think about it, to 60, and beyond...
they're not optimized for top end like that however.
they're designed for real world drivers...
(as real as a world for 1/2 million dollar cars is)

Well I wouldn't want it to look too sleeper! It woudl have to have a cowl hood and probably the 20 inch SS Silverado wheels. I'd want it to have just enough "extras" to make the Camaro/Mustang/Import crowd laugh at a red light before they got blowed away.

Well, that sounds cool. I'd say a Silverado with a s/c Z06 motor would run in the 12's anyway. Its not like the 5.3 Vortec in those trucks don't have power, they are based off the LS-1, just I think it would be cool to put the LS-6 in a truck. Maybe GM will do that before too long.

Well, here's one of my dream projects.

Corvair Grand Sport: Okay, first things first I'd need a 1969 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Coupe. Preferably a moderately ratty one so that I don't mind cutting it up. And there's going to be a lot of cutting on this project. Key components are a Gaerte 410ci aluminum block with Dominion's OHV 4 valve heads, Lunati reciprocating assembly, custom Husler headers, custom ground cam, and Inglese quad sidedraft Weber DCOE intake setup, a Hewland 5speed transaxle with integrated custom unequal length A-arm suspension complete with Penske coil-overs and massive Wilwood six-pot brakes at ALL FREAKING CORNERS.

I'd cut the rear clip off at the leading edge of the C-pillar diagonally down to the the edge of the wheel well and then recreated the whole unit as one seamless fiberglass piece hinged GT-40 style that'd reveal the stellar custom MR drivetrain. The wheel wells would be gently flared (classic SCCA Trans-Am style) and radiused to accomadate deep dish 18inch Workmeisters wrapped with nothing but the finest Hoosiers. The interior would be trimmed in tan Alcantara, and the body would be painted in deep Pearl White with Candy Blue contour pinstriping.

The engine combo, which I'd have built by Chevy small block maestro Marcus Malcuit of Malcuit Racing Engines (alumni of ASA, ARCA, and Main Event late model racing), would be good for a streetable and naturally aspirated (power adders are for men with performance problems) 600+ horsepower. I could get the weight of the Corvair down to around 2500lbs with a combination of fiberglass and acid dipping, and with Jimmy Bodnar and Justin Belfiore as the chassis men the thing could pull radical g's on the skidpad.

It'd be incredibly wild to run around in, plus I'd try to get it voted into the Sport Compact Car magazine Ultimate Street Car Challenge in order to prove that a bunch of oval track guys could build a classic with vintage parts that'd stomp around on modern Supras, Skylines, and RX-7's.

I was reading a magazine not too long ago and they featured a place you could send an AWD Volkswagen GTI (think they're called R32's) to in Canada and for a chunk of change they'll mod the hell out of it for you. That car has posted the world record in 0-30 mph times....1.1 sec. That car is a MUST on my list.

How about a nice new U.S. spec Lotus Elise, with a turbo strapped to it, perhaps running a full bar of boost, for about 340hp on a 1900lb car... of course I'd have to do some engine work to do a full bar of boost on the 1.8L, but hey, it'd be workable.
