Hi,

I'm replacing the balance shaft belt. On 90 engine, I need to remove the crank shaft sproket and back plate to replace the balance shaft belt. I removed crank shaft sproket BOLT no problem, but sproket it self is very tight and can't pull it off. How am I supposed to break it loose? Do I need a special puller or something?

I read vfaq but it's not showing us how. It shows how to remove the sproket bolt, though.

Please help if you know how to do it.

Thanks you very much.

use a crowbar as a lever, or a dood size skrewdriver. put it between the front cover and the sproket and start pulling out easy as u change position of the crowbar or whatever...if u put it at one place and try to take it out u'll be tryin all night .change positions, its tight but it'll come off eventualy. be carefull not to brake your front cover with the pushin...just my 0.02...
