Yo, any tips on how to draw the rims

Well, if there is one thing that i am no good at, It's doing rims. So I am sorry man, but I cannot help you...

good job looks good. and just draw the rims the same way you do every thing else. just draw exactly what you see.

first find the center of the wheel. then but a dot ther. then (if it has spokes) draw them going out. it is hard to explain exactly how i do it but that is basically it.

oh and g money try takin' the picture on a flat surface with good lighting....just work with different lighting. too much is not always a good thing

Your drawing looks really good.

I think your camera is set w/ a low resolution. It looks very pixelated.
What is the megapexel? Can you set the resolution size w/ the camera?

Ok the other things about photos. I always use this method for my final pict. of a completed artwork.

Tape the drawing to something stiff like a drawing board (use artist masking tape). I use halogen flood lamps in my garage at night. I then remove the halogen (tungsten) glaze w/ Photoshop. If you don't have halogen lamps or photo editing software follow these tips.

Set your drawing up in your house and bring the blinds open (contracted to the top, so you don't have stripes of light on the drawing). You need some method to position the camera. I use a tripod. The tripod is the trick to getting great photos. If you don't have a tripod use books, a chair or what ever to set the camera up. Frame your image in the view finder or LCD. Use the auto pict. feature (setting that lets you press the button so you can go and run and be in the picture) except don't go and run and be in the pict. :) ok that wasn't funny :lol2: See using a tripod or prop along w/ auto pict., will keep the camera from having the slightest movement when it fires. If your camera lets you, you may mess w/ the shutter speed and apature. Kind of hard for me to explain all that cuz I am still learning that stuff too.

When you shoot make sure the camera is angled at a 90 degree towards the artwork. You want to be dead-on. Use a chair to prop the artwork up also.

Im surprised he didnt mention a book that would help him with that. It seems like usually when Al gives help he links the subject to a book that states what hes talking about.

lol that is true but i would rather buy a book he told me to than to just ask for help over and over again on this forum.
