I have a 1999 Toyota Avalon. After approx. 5 -10 minutes of driving, I get this "beep-beep" alarm. It does this about 7 - 12 times then quits. I don't see any indications on the instrument panel as to what is going on. Any ideas? Thx!

Okay, well your alarm system will need to be reset...if you'd like instructions on how to do this, let me know...once your alarm has been reset, you won't be experiencing this problem anymore.

Beep - Beep alarm solved. The sound was coming from a "voice recorder" that I keep in the car that has an alarm. For some stupid reason that I know nothing about, it started sounding. Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't something serious. Thanks for trying to solve this.

I have a 96 xls and could not find any info on the alarm system. It beeps when the doors are open and closed along with the light goes on. What it really does, or if there are alarms that go off for whatever, have not got a clue.

Would the instructions that you mentioned in the above reply, help me learn about what I have?
