94 Geo Metro idle and performance trouble

Having continued performance trouble and idle issues (high and wander) since a Dealer service visit a few months ago. Trouble did not exist before original service date. Since then, and over 5 take back visits, the idle is too high and takes 10 seconds to attempt an idle down, even as such , still runs way to rich. It also wanders or sticks at times. Since this occurance, the Dealer has replaced timing belt, EGR valve, idle sensor, and other parts and durning such events, and had to cure the recent check engine light. (never occured before). My good will has been exhausted esp since I found the P & Q vacuum connections from the EGR valve trace were reveresed among other "attention span" shortcomings. (this was simply corrected). The trouble still occurs. So, is the tech missing something simple or dumb that he might have initiated in error? Is this a computer, sensor, timing, or other carb adjustement issue? Need this gem to run like before, 45 mpg and can
still climb hills. Even at worst, cannot smog this situation to sell the car. :banghead:

Typical geo idle surging. 2 things cause 99% of these issues. 1. TPS sensor out of adjustment. 2. Faulty IAC solenoid. Try unplugging the power from the IAC solenoid, and use the idle adjust screw on the intake to fix your idle. If that doesn't cure it, have the TPS adjusted.
