I have a 91 corsica that won't start for me. I replaced the battery with a new one and within minutes the new battery was dead. The engine turns over but it just won't start.

If the new battery went down that fast there is a HUGE draw on the battery - run down each system to see what is pulling it down . . . lights left on? wire grounded out? Or did you crank on it to drain it down?
Is the engine turning over normally? Too fast and sounding like the sparkplugs are removed may mean you jumped time. If the starter is dragging, and turning slow, a new or repaired starter is needed (this will draw a battery down as well; especially with an internal short). If it is turning over normally, do you have fire to the plugs? Getting gas? May need to see if the fuel pump is pumping fuel. If not, check to see if there is an emergency button that needs to be reset.
There are so many things to check for . . . but these are the basics.
