Only worth it if you do the 1g head swap as well, which is not a simple task. All 3 parts are worth ~3 lbs/min at the same boost, or roughly 30 HP, on a decent setup. IF you dont plan to take it that far, do a magnus 2g sheet metal intake. People see nice gains going that route as well. You can port it for a 1g TB if they dont offer that as an option (60mm hole vs 52mm)

so you think that a 1g 60mm throddle body and 1g intake manifold is only worth it if you do the 1g head exchange hu. damn. would they do anything for performance without the 1g head?
i can get the 1g tb & intake for $40.

If you port match the head to the mani, it might be worthwhile. But if you're going to remove the head ans strip it down you might as well have it rebuilt, and if you're going to go that far, you might as well pick up a 1g head :)

If you just bolt a 1g mani on a 2g head, there is a massive lip that will severly impede airflow, and actualyl cause a loss of HP I'm sure ;) I know its tempting because the parts are cheap (I have a bunch of manifolds btw), but its better to have a well matched system than a bunch of mismatched parts.

I have a question for ya. :)

Looking at this one car for sale, 95 GSX, well the guy said that the engine is a 6 bolt and a JDM tranny. That means then that the block, head, manifold, TB, are all 1G 6 bolt design and the tranny then also from a 1G JDM spec. I just want to make sure that the entire engine was indeed replaced, not just a part. :)

Also I read it before somewhere here, but this would be a good time to get a refresher... ;) Um how do you tell up in person if it's a 6 bolt or not?

IF the motor is installed, you have to use the vfaq method. It tells you hwo to use the side of the oil pan to tell. The tranny cant be a 1g, they dont work in 2Gs. 2g has the motor mounts ont he tranny, and a 1g tranny wont have them. HE might jsut be tossing "JDM" in there for the bling, or its a 2g, evo something, or something else.

i didnt even know there was a JDM tranny, never heard of one atleast... i wonder if its just as shitty as some of parts from the JDM motors!

i hate people like that! they tell you shit about their car to try and get you to buy it when obviously it isnt true! just a bunch of assholes!
