Hi all,

I have 93 cutlass supreme 3.1. And i would like to charge the AC up it is blowing warm air. Can someone please tell me where the AC is to charge the AC is located and how can i get to it.

Usually you charge it up on the low port side. Low port side usually has a blue cap in them. The low side port is either located directly on the AC Compressor itself or a hose going into the AC Compressor. Anything coming out of the AC Compressor is the high side.

Do you have R-134a or R-12 ?

If you look around the engine bay, there would be markings about vacuum hose diagram routing and also the AC type as well as probably the serpentine belt routing diagram.

BTW, most AC controls are controlled by a vacuum hose which is also connected to the Cruise Control. I've encountered problem with AC which only blowing warm air and not cold and it turned out to be that the AC control switch vacuum hose which is also connected to the Cruise Control vacuum hose was leaking. They verified this by testing their Cruise Control while driving and sure enough their cruise control was not working and found out the vacuum hose was broken or loose and they connected them back and now they have AC cold and Cruise Control working.

For R-12 system, it is expensive to use R-12 and most of them now convert to R-134a. First the old R-12 must be evacuated completely and then use a vacuum pump to remove all the vacuum for at least 60 minutes to dry or remove moisture and it also verify to make sure there are no leaks and after that they you can use R-134a.
