Flex pipe Leak, shop says it's the motor mounts?

My flex pipe has been leaking for too many months now, and I'm getting too embarrased too often so I brought it into an awesome exhaust shop (they do everything!). They checked out my car, and said that yes it was the flex pipe right under the driver and it'd cost $140 for parts + install. I said, "awesome, do it." But they stopped me and told me that if they did, it'd break again, because my motor mounts need to be replaced.

I havn't noticed any vibrations, and I havn't tried to see how badly they are loose, but do you guys/gals really think this is the reason? What else could it be? I didn't hit anything. It seems the pipe and flex pipe just kinda got slowly pulled apart.

If it is the motor mounts, any tips on them? I'm pretty good with cars, just don't have experience in all areas, so advice is appreciated. Would it be wiser to have a engine shop do it?

I tried looking for motor mounts online, can't find any, is this a dealer only part? Any idea how much it'll cost me?
