problem replacing shocks

Today I was changing the shocks on my 2001 Ford E-150 for the first time. At the bottom of the shock there is a bolt coming out of the lower control arm that holds the bottom of the shock in place. when I was removing the nut I snapped that bolt by accident. It APPEARS that the bolt is WELDED into the lower control arm and cannot be replaced. Does this mean that I now have to replace the entire lower control arm over one small bolt? Please any help would be appreciated.

Was that on the front or the rear? If on the front you might be able to weld a new one on but it might be better to just buy a new spindle. Let me know what you figure out. Also how did you replace the rear?

You need to replace the radius arm, repairs like welding in the new bolt are too risky, the entire weight of the vehicle acts like a hammer on that bolt.
