1994 Ford ranger 4.0 6cyl not starting - weird noise

I am, confused on why my truck will not start. For the last two weeks I noticed the engine was running not correctly so I took it into the Ford dealer and had them do a full complete tune-up which changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, PCV valve, Fuel filter, and etc. After I recevied the truck back it ran awesome for 2 days and was starting fine everytime.
...well I went to go start it tonight and it almost sounded like the battery was dead, as it tried to start up (very slowly) it then just quit turning the engine over. I heard the clicking noise so I assumed somehow my battery was low or dead. Later on, my wife and I decided to jumpstart the battery with jumper cables from her car.
We attached the battery cables and let it charge the battery for 10 minutes. When I go to try to start the truck, it does not turn over at all, and doesn't even want to try to start over. My battery indicator on my dash says the battery is good (in middle), but it doesn't click or turn over or anything. It jsut makes it a engghh enghh noise (hard to explain) when i turn the key over and no clicking or nothing.
What is going on or what is bad???

Make sure post & cables are clean & good connections. Also take battery to parts store & have them check(for free) to make sure it has enough cranking amps. I'm guessing it's the battery , they go out instantly. Mine just went out & I let it charge with a charger all night but never cranked again. Good Luck!

I had my battery and starter tested free, and my starter was not that good. I replaced the starter and all is good to go now, thanks.

it could be the starter solenoid on the drivers side wall, but more likely
it is the small wire on the starter motor that just clips in above all the
bigger wires.I had a similar problem and this little wire was the culprit.
Stick your arm down by the side of the engine wiggle the wire and try
starting the truck again.
