94 toyota avalon abscolmangy 05-14-2004, 03:15 PM Had a torn boot on the r/front. Put in a new axel assembly. After I finished, the abs light came on. Can't get it off. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks Dennis hotpursuit 07-28-2004, 06:16 PM I had some brake work done at the dealer on my 96 Avalon. When I picked it up the abs light was on so I returned to the dealer. They had accidentially pinched a wire that went to one of the abs sensors. Hope this helps. sunnywow1 12-28-2004, 12:27 AM i had the same propbelm with mine 96 avalone and my mechanic told me that one of the wheel sensor was rubbed or been hit during the replacement of axle which damaged the sensor. that is causing the light to come up and it cost around 100 dollars to get that sensor. i hope it will help Akshay 02-19-2005, 04:27 PM I think anytime the sensor is disconnected, you have the get the abs warning light reset. Pretty sure your ABS is working even though the light is on. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
