a supercharger is defined as being belt driven, so first of all, this is a vacuum-powered turbo. Id find out if you could find anyone else who has used this, and ask their opinion, as well as ask the seller what kind of boost you will be getting as well.

That is not a supercharger. If I were you I would rather not buy stuff like that without knowing the chamber and spindle conditions. You can CSC your car, check http://www.intense-racing.com or http://www.zzperformance.com and check for the CSC(Centrifugal Superchargers) that can be adapted to 3.1, 3.4 and almost everything out there.

(or if you already have the 3800, get one of tried and tested OEM superchargers)

CarSuper, the problem installing the Eaton Roots SC on top of the 3800 is that the NA 3800 version could have flat compression pistons and the SC 3800 has domed pistons and other internal components could be different. The roots sc is harsher on the engine and tranny than the Centrifugal since the centrifugal boost is applied mostly at the high rpm range wereas the root sc applies boost from the low RPM range all the way up the red line.
You can bolt the Eaton Roots M90 or M112 on but the PCM has to be changed too.
THe CSC tops boost doest not reach 6psi wereas the Eaton root SC could develop more than 6psi and that would affect timing, MAP, MAF readings and the KR has to be prevented too.
Since the ignition and spark plugs are set up for a non SC vehicle these among alot of other stuff need to change to prevent or lower KR and other bad things that could harm your engine.

im not saying its a good idea to begin with, but its btter than the non-supercharger thing he listed on ebay. personally, if he were to go the OEM supercharger route, i totally agree with you, that you basically gotta start from scratch.

The heads are different on the SC 3800 too. The fuel injectors are located in the heads. The NA 3800 has the fuel injectors in the intake manifold. A lot of GT/SE owners who have done the swap claim it will cost the same to buy & swap in an SC motor in as it would to change everything necessary to make the NA motor except the SC...but I don't know that for sure.
