Suspension mods to get lower 60'?

Are there any suspension mods that can be done to a 97+GP to make it easier to launch? I have gone to the track the last two weeks and will be going again tommorow to try and get this thing launched properly.

I have reduced my 60's from a high of 2.79 to a low of 2.25. My last few runs I was getting 2.4-5 with 13.7-8@104-5 so I know I could get alow 13s time if I could just launch it correctly. Any ideas?

slicks or drag radials

Thats really the only way to 1/4 mile.

Also, you could use spring blockers to jack up the rear to combat the squat.

Stiffer struts will help...

Spring blockers as mentioned will help...

Some people have used air bags in the rear....

Some people put front lowering springs only on....

Slicks or drag radials...

Lower tire pressure front, higher pressure back...

An LSD....

Remove your spare and keep your trunk empty...

Moving your seat as forward as possible can help a bit too, especially if you have a front passenger do it as well...

I am going to try some drag radials most likely. I just saw some guy get 2.0s with them all day in his GP. Man I wish I could get a 2.0!!!

I get 2.0s all day with stock Tires and Stock Diff....

BTW: I would not go with Drag Slicks with a stock Diff....

Why not, do burn outs cause too much stress on the stock differential? How can you consistently get 2.0 60's on street tires? The last two weeks the best I could do was two runs of 2.25 and 2.24!

Drags will put too much stress on such a weak part of our Tranmission....you risk destroying your Diff

but if you want an excuse to buy a new one go right ahead.

I get constant 2.0s with lots of Practice
Took me about a year to get good at launching.

Bald tires?

I used bald ass RSA's and would pull 2.0's

Skill?

Catz is skilled?

Slicks + stock diff = exploding diff

I have no skills. Only 14 passes so far...

Jeff,

For only 14 passes, I'd say your doing pretty damn good w/ 13.6 and traping at 103

I'd work on the SKills before jumping to slicks....
once you pull a couple 2.0s then I say go with a Diff and some slicks

You got to know your car before you launch good

and when switching to slicks 1.7s or lower is what your shooting for
