What is the cheepest way to get a subaru to do 12s? What car, what yea, what would you do and what kind of price tag is on that?

The easiest is to buy an STi, since they're capable of it stock with a good enough driver. If you can't drive it well enough to get there stock, a $20 homemade boost controller would do it.

The cheapest would probably be some old Impreza or Legacy with a WRX swap and some nitrous...

personaly I'd get an old impeza L and drop the 2.2L closed deck legacy engine in it or get a 2.5L and close it myself. Then get a vf 22 and suporting mods and you should be good. probly at least wrx gears too.
