Dashboard 90-93nick2004 05-10-2004, 05:18 PM Ok I removed everything I could. I took out all teh screws and the black part where the air conditioner controlls are I cant get out! The book says remove all the pannels in the way and then screw then pull out. Well its still connected. The part where the controlls are wont budge much. Also how do you take out the air vents and the venter vent with the clock thanks nick 92blackgt 05-13-2004, 11:35 PM time for the hammer! nick2004 05-13-2004, 11:57 PM heh. I got the center registers out and painted em. I just cant get the damn pannel with the ac out. I must have spent close to 10 hours playing with that damn thing. Theres stilla screw or 2 holding it in. nick2004 05-13-2004, 11:58 PM Cant get to it! I guess ill have to take everyhting out of teh dash and itself gt91celica 06-02-2004, 11:58 PM I had the same problem when I was removing my interior pieces to paint them. Behind the a/c panel there are a few screws you'll have to remove to get the panel out. It's a bit of a pain getting in there...use a stubby screwdriver to remove the screws. nick2004 06-03-2004, 03:53 PM I tried that with little luck. However took off the cables and took the whole peice out its all done it looks really nice. My guages glow red too. If only i had money now to paint it. however i do appriciate the help gt91celica 06-08-2004, 11:51 PM Glad you got it out, Toyota sure makes it hard to do. Getting ready to paint my ride soon, sometime within the next 2 months. Then I think I'll be done with my appearance mods for a while.....until I get a wild hair and decide to start making more changes LOL. corvair 06-09-2004, 10:35 PM the dash is to be removed to remove the a/c control assy. with a screw gun you could have the entire dash on the bench in less than an hour. smbius 06-22-2004, 04:05 AM Tutorial to add Defi Guage (which requires removing dash/gauge cluster completely). Check it out. http://www.radcastro.com/Projects/Project+ST2GT4/786.aspx belgium tuninggirl 07-28-2004, 08:25 AM easy haven't you forgotten to unhook the two cables of the heating??? there'sone that goes from the control panel on the dash towards your trottle. Somewhere just behind the middle console it is connected to the heaters blower (I'm not english so don't laugh if this is not the right name) the second one goes from the control panel straight trough to the engine compartement. there its hooked on the heat controler. little on the left site.. if you unhook those two cables it should come off easely. just beware for the electric wires they are really short and you might need a child's hand to unplug them.... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
