My Friend Aries Shutsoff after going a certain speed, car just shuts off, and when he restarts it it turns right back on, Car Shutoff whenever if feels like it when making Turns as well. Most of the parts on this car are brand new, this is the first major problem like this encountered any ideas?

there's a couple of reasons it could do that.

first, check your computer codes (that is; if it's '86-up), and look up the code numbers, although since it's shutting down, you could get bad, or no codes at all.

normal troubles:
distributor pickup assembly. (under the rotor)
bad coil wire or wires.
Bad or weak coil or wiring. (depends on the year of k-car, the coils on the fenderwell don't go bad, the ones on the motor do.)
Bad fuel pump (electric, in the tank if FI, mechanical on the motor in Carb models)

So, even though you weren't specific about the car, I hope that helps!

try the pickup or the pump, the codes would help.
Could be the throttle position sensor too.

Distributor pickup. or Throttle position sensor. It's on the throttle body.
If the fuel tank is full of rust or foriegn matter, the sump will clog and cause a similar problem.
May be the computer itself too.

Good luck,

I agree with slantsixness that the distributor pickup coil is a good candidate. My Lancer did that last summer- it ran flawlessly until the spark cut out, then it would die instantly. At first it appeared to be linked to driving habits or conditions, but it got worse until I couldn't drive it anymore. The pickup is about $40 and can be changed in 5 minutes.
