Civic Dx issuesitchynipple2 05-08-2004, 07:37 PM I've noticed my radiator fan never comes on and my car tends to start heating up if I get stuck in traffic where I'm barely moving. As soon as I start moving at a decent speed though, the temperature gets back to normal so I'm hoping it's only because the radiator fan is not coming on that its overheating. I read something about checking the radiator fan switch and also something about using a paperclip, but I'm not sure what to do and money's tight right now. Any help on how to check the different parts of the fan would be great. MunG35 05-09-2004, 01:09 AM Yeah... if you have an auto... drop the car in neutral and rev the sucker around 2000 rpm and seeing as you dont have a tach you'll be able to feel the cold air flowing as soon as you hit a high enough rpm... i have a 95 civic Dx sedan too and this normally helps my car... and if you have a manual well u know j how to rev... the higher you rev the better the AC works upto 4000rpm from what i've noticed... thats y freeway driving is nice... but i have no idea whats wrong if you find out or if anyone knows what the problem is... plz let me... all2ez1209@yahoo.com Thankee Kindly. SilverY2KCivic 05-11-2004, 10:31 PM I'd check and/or replace the radiator fan switch, and maybe even get the thermostat checked out too. MunG35 05-11-2004, 10:53 PM how much does all that cost? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
