I have a 81 cutlass supreme brougham and i was wondering if a LT1 350 or a L98 would fit. I wanted to put a complete pullout from a Lt1 caprice or camaro. What would i have to change on my cutlass?? If anyone has any info on swapping newer engines into a G-body please post anything helpful or e-mail me at mercadoe487@comcast.net Thanks.

I just found a website w/ that info. In case anybody is interested in knowing how its done. On this link they swap in a F.I. 95' LT1 into a 1978 Chevy Malibu. So you can pretty much put an LT1 into any G-body car.....I hope so.

I am Putting a LT1 265v8 and 4L60E from a 94 Caprice in my 85 Cutty the is kind of alot to do,- you'll have to replace the crossmember for the tranny to fit, to use a caprice/camaro Lt1 you have to notch the frame on the pass. side, you can get aftermarket brackets or a Corvette unit will work, -the drive shaft needs to be shortened, I still havent overcome the wiring problems yet, other then that its all down hill, if you have any questions please ask,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Andy

Before My Cutty I had a 85 Regal which i put a 350 chevy under the hood, I did all the little power helpers on it and tell you the truth it was such a great driving car anyone thinking of putting an LT1 in a g-body car be willing to spend good money into just installing it, a good carb feed 350 is a very good idea and cheaper,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Andy
