What about TR55IX Iridium Plugs??

My car has stock 3.8 pulley, removed U-Bend, No Cat, Custom Air Intake. In two weeks i gonna put 3.4 Pulley and Fenderwell Intake. Someone recommends me this spark plug or other. Actually i use the Autolite 104 gap at 0.60.

If i put the Iridium TR55IX to my GTP, i need to gap at 0.60 too? or less?.

Why not just stick w/ the 104's. Why waste money on the TR55IX.

I wondering about the autolite 104, is it one of the best replacement plugs? I just changed my with bosch platniums and the engine doesn't run as smooth as it did before. I just put on the random tech down pipe and the car has alot more pull until I changed the plugs.

Mosh, a stock gap should be fine with a stock pulley. One of the reasons that you close the gap is because of increased boost. If the gap is too big the spark will be blown out by the increased boost.

Thanks for the advice Ripn. A funny thing yesterday, the engine felt like it woke up again. I wondering if the computer had something to do with that? The old plugs were the orginals (I'm guessing from the looks of them) and the engine 75k on it. Maybe just a slow ass computer or bad expensive gas(Canada is $3 a gallon for 93 octane)?

If so you should be fine w/ the bosch plugs, I just know that they dont like boost that much.

That explains the SES when pushing the car really hard with 3.4 or 3.25 pulleys. So what would be the recommended gaps for the 3.4 and 3.25. That never came to mind and makes a heck of sense. Damn it like a candle gets blown off when the PSI's are really great. Is there a table or something that explains based on the pulley size the GAP that you should be using?

The spark plug should not bother as long as it bolts correctly and is in the intended heat range. Besides that you could use whatever, it is your money(except boschs, I installed those and they are crap. Did not know the GT and GTP distinction).

Ive run 104's w/ a .55 (maybe a tad smaller) for a 3.4/3.25/3.1 pulleys. No problems at all.

So .5 could be ok without problems on high rpm range?

Start w/ .55 and go from there.

Thanks, Dumb question but here it goes. What happens when the gap is too short? To little time to burn the mixture? TO little heat? I have never undertood this correctly.
