installing interior neons with a switchalex rae 05-06-2004, 05:03 PM hi wondering if any1 can help me please. i am looking to install neons underneath my dashboard on the driver and passenger side of my peugeot 306. i know nothing about electronics and not much bout cars so any help you could give me would be appreciated. i am looking to install the neons linked to a switch so they can easily be turned off and on. i want to use the cigarette lighter as the power source for my neons so i dont use any power from the car battery. how do i get to the wires of the cigarette lighter as i guess these wires are what ive got to attach the wires from the neon lights to. can i connect more than one neon to the cigarette lighter as the lighter is 12v and i think the neon lights are 12v so i dont know whether this makes a difference as i also want to add 2 more neon lights under the chairs. The last query is how do i wire the switch to the lighter and the neons. cheers matt MStout 05-06-2004, 05:39 PM The cig lighter doesnt have its own generator, so you might as well hook it up to your radio/Cd Players power like I did. There are other posts on the interiors forum on how to do this...so look around. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
