Engine problem after wash (engine)

My 99 Accord 2.3L became very illed the next morning after I gave its engine a good wash down with the garden hose!

My engine when started cold seemed to run on all 4 pistons, but shortly after it began to warm up, the third combustion chamber seemed to quick popping. I confirmed my suspicion by pulling the spark-plug wire to that piston + disconnected its fuel injector.... sure enough, no change in idle speed nor rhythm! (Same action to any other piston produced a change). Acceleration hesitates and loss of power.

I thought it was the dead plug... changed, but same problem.
I thought it was the clogged injector... changed, but still same problem.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Sounds like water in the HV electrics -- distributor, plug wires.

Yeah, next time try engine degreaser or steam cleaning.

sorry i didn't see that last reply before i posted my first but letting the engine dry didn't fix it. had to replace the distributor. check the terminals for oxidation and clean em up a little before you replace it.
