What remote do I need?

I have just bought a 2000 Montana that had no keyless remotes with it. For all the other options in it (nearly everything except power sliding doors), I am reasonably sure that it came with remote(s) when it was new. Is there any way to find out which remote features I have, short of going to a dealership and testing them? Or, if I buy a 4-button remote (with rear door and alarm) and program it, will it still work the locks if that's the only feature my van has?

Just call the dealership parts department with your VIN# and they can tell you immediately over the phone. You can also get cheap remotes sometimes on e-bay, but have the dealer tell you what #'s work. Good Luck, Marty

You need a GM:10245953. I Picked one up on ebay for 29.00 Programed it worked great , Before I did that I went To my local Pontiac Dealer showed them my Insurance card With name and Vin Number they told me I had Keyless Entry, Good Luck
