my ranger was running fine until i met up with some buddies and shut if off for a minute then it wouldnt start. it just makes one clicking noise when i turn the key but nothing happens. my grandfather and i think its the neutral starter switch on the clutch, but im not sure where that is to look for it. if anyone could tell me where to look and what to possibly do to fix that, please reply to this or send me an email at mitchell_92@hotmail.com. i need my truck to get to and from college all week. also, if theres any other suggestions, such as a starter or something, ideas would be much appreciated. thanks.

Check battery. They go out instantly now. I drove to the store, came out & it just clicked. Never slow starting or anything, just dead. I was able to roll it off to get to a new battery, just not enough power to crank it. Good Luck!

could be battery or starter.have both checked at parts store or just replace both. they both could be 7 years old and need replaced anyway
