Alright... what year do you think was best for the 3rd gens? I personally think it was 89' cause I prefer the older rear spoiler and interior and it had better performance than previous cars...

So much more style with the ferrari wing, and vented g-effects.. Plus the interior was smoothed out and not so boxy.. Havto go with IROC wheels though...

I've gotta go with the 89, for some random reason i like that number, plus i don't like the 92 spoiler or ground effects. Maybe if you made the ground effects air pockets into functional brake coolers or something...

I feel the love in the house tonight :) gotta go 89 all the way. although i want the 91-92 body effects with the scoops to put on my babies. the 89 had the white letter guages and switches of the early years, and not the snot yellow color of the later models. but had the updated 9th injector delete for better running, although it wasnt quite speed dencity yet. which is also somethign ill be adapting to my IROC. so i gotta go 89 all the way, shit i own TWO of em i kinda have to dont i :)

I custom made my own.. Now the background is GM bright red.. The lettering and symbols are all white, and the needles light up red..

The color was ugly.. But the design of the guages was a lot nicer than the 82-90

Well.. the way I see it.. Most people are going to vote for the car that they have.. SO when you look at the production numbers for the Z28/IROC we have:

1986 - 88,132 Wow!
1988 - 24,050 Decent
and 1992 with a mere 5,197

Actually, 91' and 92 ComBineD still dont add up to 88' numbers.. (1991 being approx 12,452)

Dual cats were available in 89, plus you could still get a nice 9 bolt rearend in 89 also.

Hands down those wheels are the best ones put on a thirdgen. The earlier iroc wheels are nice but I like the thicker ones way better.

How about the ugly steering wheel with the airbag in the 92?? Those suck.

I voted for 86 because I didnt have the option of the 84 :p (and because I also have an 86 Camaro, though not an IROC). I love all 3rd gens though :)
