EGR Port pictures, 2nd gen:amigo-2k 05-03-2004, 12:21 AM wb4lbg 05-03-2004, 11:10 AM That looks really nasty. I hope the inside of my 3.2 doesn't look that bad (but it probably looks worse!) So, when cleaning the EGR, is the end of the tube you show the correct place to spray the cleaner? Or does one need to pull the EGR off and spray there? Or both? Any good photos of what the EGR port under the valve looks like? Thanks! JWS '99 Rodeo LSE 4x4 amigo-2k 05-03-2004, 11:49 AM Do both, and the clean out the PCV. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/135272egrphoto.jpg wb4lbg 05-03-2004, 01:26 PM OK. I had seen the photo of the valve in one of your other posts. Got one of the intake manifold from where this valve came? JWS amigo-2k 05-03-2004, 03:32 PM Looks like the EGR one, One big hole and one small hole. The small hole leads to the EGR port. klfasold 08-02-2008, 11:20 PM Amigo, are the pictures you posted the same for a 98 rodeo? I retract my statement.....I have a 97...it may not have that... bighops2000 08-08-2008, 04:41 PM OK I have a 97 and im trying to do the same thing. I have used a small straw-like tube to thread what I think is the passage that needs to be cleaned. Check out the picture. Is this the right passage or are there any more that need o be checked and cleaned. I also took a pic of the egr pintle http://www.flickr.com/photos/26800388@N02/2745145236/ XR400R 08-08-2008, 06:12 PM If I can attached the pic, this shows the outlet end of my EGR tube before I cleaned it out. It was completely plugged with carbon. Once cleaned, no more knocks. http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/661295/fullsize/plugged-egr-tube%21.jpg bighops2000 08-08-2008, 09:36 PM Figured what the heck.
