First of all, I'd like to say you guys have really helped me with all the valuable info on this forum =)

I was thinking of purchasing a set of Tokico Blues for my 2000 Neon. I'm currently running adjustable coilovers on stock struts, it's a wonderful bouncy carnival ride hehe. The rates on the springs are 450 front / 350 rear. Now here's my question: First off, anybody have any positive experiences with Tokico's? Secondly, I read on a project neon site that a stiffer spring rate in the rear is better, so is there any reality in swapping the coilovers for a 350 front/450 rear combo? or is 350 too soft for the front?

I appreciate any help!

With those spring rates you will want stiffer struts than the blues. Try some illuminas if you want to stick with Tokico otherwise invest in some konis. The blues are tempting for the price but not a good match for your springs, hope that helps.

Hey, i got a question for ya.

I have coil-overs on my car as well and not only do they bounce around a lot, they make a hell of a lot of noise :banghead: . When i turn the steering right or left, there's a squeaking sound :eek7: , when i drive on the road, there's a rattling sound :sly: . Do you know what's causing this? Did you have this problem? How can i fix this? :banghead: I know, i'm full of questions, but its cuz i don't know, and i want to get it fixed as soon as i can.

Thnx.

Hmm, well I have the same sort of 'ratchety-squeaky' sound when I turn, I'm positive it's because I have no rubber padding between the coilover top and the frame of the car (metal on metal, eeeew). I'm going to get some rubber rings from Home Depot and slap em on when I put on my new struts. As far as the rattling while driving...I dont have that prob, but it could be the coilover sleeve rattling around on the strut. Did you put some of those rubber rings around the strut before you fit the coilover on? that usually holds it pretty stiffly.otherwise the whole sleeve can move back and forth, etc, and cause a bad sound.
