swapirdc019 04-29-2004, 01:09 PM I know its possible. I've seen many examples of it myself. as for keeping it smog legal, just get an engine with the pollution control stuff. The general rule with swapping a v6 to v8 is also swapping the entire v8 drivetrain. Other than that, new mounts, bellhousing, exhaust, fan shroud, and im not sure about ignition. Thats about all i know for that. A good resource is cardomain.com. Look up people with el caminos that have done the engine swap and ask them. irdc019 04-29-2004, 01:11 PM d'oh hit the wrong button. this was meant for mbren54500. so nvm this one and go to his post instead. :slap: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
