Hi All!!
Have a question in regards to the rear wiper on our Montana (2000)
We went to use them one day and they moved about 3 inches and stopped. Didn't go any further, to this day they are not working.
Any suggestions as to what is happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also on our message center, the "security" light comes on and stays on untill we turn off the engine and remove the key.

Any help is better than what I know now.

Thanks guys

Tighten the nut that holds the wiper arm on, it is probably loose.

Hi there: I actually had the whole wiper off, along with the nut and the rubber washer. No success.

There is no noise at all, meaning the wiper motor is not working at all.

Loose wiring?

The fuse is good, I checked that first, so it will be method of elimination.

Thanks for the reply..........much appreciated

Check for voltage at the motor. If you are getting voltage and still no movement, then the motor is bad. Otherwise trace the wires and find the bad spot or a bad relay.

Yes that was my next thing I was going to do.
The fuse is ok, so will start with the motor and work my way down.
Thanks for your reply

Try putting penetrating oil on the shaft where it comes out of the rear window. Pull of the cap and loosen the nut. Take off the wiper are and clean the shaft. then use a lot of penetrating oil and try it again.

Yup....thats what it was, a seized shaft.
Unfortunatly the motor caused damage to the nylon gear and as a result had to replace the whole assembly.
Thanks to all for the postings
