How do I get the date to be displayed on the information center...I tried holding the button for 5 seconds,and still says no date available....I was wondering if anone else had this problem and if they did how did you resolve the problem.

Set the time on the clock, and it will display the date

I took out the original radio..and put in a pioneer cd player...is there any other way to get the date to be displayed

I heard this happened to a fellow Aurora driver when he swapped his stock head unit for an aftermarket. Still no solution, but I will ask again.

If you remove the OEM radio your screwed for many things on the DIC. Also the steering wheel controls won't work.

oh ok...so there is nothing i can do about the date issue..besides putting the old deck back in

I have heard of someone putting the old deck behind the aftermarket deck in the huge hole back there, then your DIC would work except for time change for DST. Also temp and fan would work, but not volume.

everything else works....i was just wondering about the date..thanks for your help...I wish there was an easy fix

I think the only way to fix it is a special harness..the normal radio harness is a $15 part but somewhere I read that you can get a harness for these cars that is $140 - $150 range that is supposed to make everything work aftermarket. Not sure though.

That must make the steering wheel controls work to. Personally my DIC is always set to the date so it would bother me to have the stock deck gone.

i like to have the date on also..I just went out and put my old deck in..and what do you know the date works now....I might have to look into a harness or something so that I can use my aftermarketdeck and still be able to use all the functions..I just like to have everything working

its not a harness its a remote system that contects to your radio and then to your steering controls but its too much to buy if All you want is steering wheel controls for your radio, its like 150.
