I've heard that it frees up power..I'm looking at doing this just so I can run my car harder without the wear, but is it actually good for a measureable gain in power? That would be a plus.. 4onFloor 04-23-2004, 01:18 PM eh, doesn't really free up much power. it's just lighter. might be easier to spin since it's lighter, but it's not really gonna be noticable power difference Joseph1082 04-23-2004, 04:46 PM Well, if it takes less energy to spin, that would make the set-up slightly more eficient, sending a few more ponies to the ground. 89IROC&RS 04-23-2004, 05:21 PM dosnt really free up power, but allows the engine to wind up faster, reaching peak power faster allows faster acceleration, pretty much the ide there. sykotic1 04-23-2004, 10:44 PM i also heard that the stock driveshaft for my third gen is only good up to 90mph before it becomes unstable, even thought ive buried the needle a few times with no noticeable problems during or afterwards. 4onFloor 04-23-2004, 11:20 PM thats a load a crap. i've gone 130+ in a camaro many times, no vibration or anything still felt stable Joseph1082 04-24-2004, 02:24 AM So if it spins up faster it will make te car faster, there ya go. 89IROC&RS 04-24-2004, 05:50 PM yeah ive had the RS up to 115 and the IROC up to 105 neither had a vibration from the driveshaft.
