hey camry community well here it is my friend has a 92 camry nd he wnts to know if its possible to swap a celics engine into camry? so anyone with info tell me cause he wants to know.

Which Celica Engine are you talking about? And to answe your question, it is kinda broad but if you have the money and time anything is possible.

It will not be a complete drop in, but the swap is pratical and defintely doable.

But if you ask me, I forget is the 3-G Cams come with the 5SFE or not, but if it does and he already have the 5S in there supercharge or turbo it, or swap a 5S in there and then super or tubo it, that was the next 4cyl to go into the Cam from atleast 94 up until the 5-G Cam.

Also he can swap in the 1MZ V6 and either twin turbo it or Superchage it.

92 Camry has the 3VZ-FE engine.

If your friend swaps in the 3S-GTE, his car must be a 5-speed manual in order to complete the swap. If not, then he will need a front clip (engine, tranny, ECU, harness).

The automatic Camry tranny will not work with the 3S-GTE. Even if it did, it will not hold the power.

yea he has a 5 speed manual but how much would it cost to do da turbo

There's a guy in Toyotanation (www.toyotanation.com) named Levarg that turbocharged his 3VZ-FE Camry. From my discussion with him, his budget was approx $3500. Check out the site and send him a PM, he's really cool.
