Hi, i have a 2.3L 4 cyl 1992 ford ranger, after driving my truck for 5-10 minutes, i pop my hood to notice my header is glowing red. Is this normal? or no?

i would say no! check exhaust for a blockage. unless you are beating on it for 10 minutes

a lean-burn condition causes a red-hot exhaust manifold. Go to an autozone and have them do a code scan...

do what 200mudder and lakerfan1784 said, check the cat, they can plug up pretty easy. As for the lean burn thing, it could be the problem, but commonly people will not change the o2 snesors on time and the will plug up and make the vehical run rich, the when lean there is too much oxygen in the exhaust and acts like an oxyacetelyn torch and has a chemical reaction between the oxygen and the iron. I would suspect the cat first though.
