1994 Chrylser LHS TRANSMISSION QUESTION
scdccd 04-21-2004, 09:58 AM I have a 94 LHS(3.5L) with 121,000 miles on it. he transmission was rebuilt 20,000 miles ago. I'm having a problem with it. It happens from a stop and it doesn't happen everyday. Here is what happens: When I pull the car out of the garage it starts off in second gear. I will then stop turn the car off and re-start it. It then shifts perfect. Remember it only happens once in awhile. Besides this problem the transmission shifts great. Also I have replaced both speed sensors. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks jjryan 05-08-2004, 02:49 AM I have some tranny issues with mine too. Mine hasn't been rebuilt...Same amount of mileage almost. I'm at 128,000. Here's what mine does if i put it into park first thing in the morning or afternoon. It drives in gear but seems like it is braking. Now that you mention it IT could be the fact it's in another gear and that almost makes sense. I have to put it into park then re-engage the gear to correct it. I've never drove more than 2 feet when i noticed it cause i was scared it was doing something bad. On the other hand my tranny needs extra work. It shifts hard when the car is cold and running first thing in the morning. i gotta let it warm up for a good 10 minutes or so to make it ok to drive in days under 40 degrees. Maybe you can shed some light on my issues too. I have a 95 LHS nightdriver09 07-16-2004, 06:03 AM I was just looking on Allpar and found a new?? recall, guess what? The floor mounted shifter, all 93-99. It seems it might not lock in park at all times. This might not be an internal problem. Do either of you have the recall notice yet? I don't. By the way, mine is 178,000, never rebuilt. Biff BlackSpyder1998 07-30-2004, 02:49 AM well mine has a rebuild engine tranny was working fine before the rebuild of the motor but when i got the car back it would stay stuck in first gear if i turn the car off then turn it on it would work fine it only did it sometimes so i put 2 bottles of lucas and the car is working perfect now so try this it might help you too.
