2001 Neon R/T vs. 2002 Acura RSX-NOT type SLedgic 04-19-2004, 06:16 AM I have been waiting to race a friend of mine for a while now, my 2001 Chrysler Neon R/T 150HP against his Acura RSX(not type S) which is 160HP. He has 2 things going for him already, the 10 HP advantage and his car has half the KM's that mine does Our cars are both stock I think I am a better stick driver then him, but even if I am it wouldnt be by alot Let me know what you guys think before I go and do it! drag1320neon 04-19-2004, 01:33 PM he should beat you. allthough you have nearly the same torque specs, his top end power will get you. not by alot, but he should FuriousMachine95 04-19-2004, 06:39 PM If you have MTX you can get him. Unless he has mtx too. if he is auto then you can get him. Ledgic 04-19-2004, 07:28 PM both cars are standard trans. neither has MTX either..thx for replying btw FuriousMachine95 04-19-2004, 07:39 PM Um, MTX stands for standard or manual. ATX means automatic. I guess I forgot that everybody doesn't know that. Sorry. :sunglasse If both of you are MTX then he might get ya. 209 neon 04-20-2004, 09:05 AM just run him and find out the results might come out good or they might come out bad but you will live to race another day! :naughty: FuriousMachine95 04-20-2004, 08:42 PM :iagree: Syndrome51 04-21-2004, 02:09 PM Take the challenge. If u lose, it's "normal", but if u win you can be proud. Empty fuel tank/high octane could help you. FuriousMachine95 04-21-2004, 07:18 PM No high octane. The sohc is designed to run off the low grade stuff. Syndrome51 04-21-2004, 07:38 PM yeah... thanks FM95 I've forgot 2gen were sohc. Ledgic 05-03-2004, 12:10 PM its an R/T DOHC high output engine Beastiek2 05-03-2004, 06:25 PM SOHC and the TEG will beat you in the high RPM band once VTEC kicks in, but racing is always fun!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
