My husband drives a 1997 Lumina, and it has only a back plate. There doesn;t appear to be any way of attaching any sort of mount/bracket holder thingie for a front plate. This only became a problem recently because I need to take my MD road test (I haven't had a lisense in about 6 years) and one of the requirements is that both plates need to be securely mounted/displayed.
Curretnly the front plate is "securely" inside the glovebox. In looking at the front it doesn't liik like it is made to have any sort of mount or whatever but I am just a dumb female non-driver *grin* so what do I know?
My husband is lazy and apathetic, and doesn't seem to care or want to take any sort of initiative so I am on my own with this if I want to be able to take the test.
I am guessing I could just go to Advance or someplace and ask, but it is 12M I need the sort of instant gratification only posting on the internet to complete strangers, while wearing a nightgown can provide......

i have a 98 and moved to california and had the same issue. I just got a cheap $2 license plate mounting bracket from autozone, put two holes thru the plastic bumper and been that way since '99
