Unplug wires & vacuum lines from tube running from air box to intake.
loosen tube clamps at air box and intake.
carefullu "break" free the rubber air tube from the intake and gently pry it off and then up. Make sure to replace with a k&N or similar airfilter so you never have to do this again. I've done this on my 95 Transport, 00 Montana & 02 Aztek.

Also be very carefull not to damage the maf.. Mass Air Flow sensor the honeycomb in there is easy to kill if your not carefull! Breaking the tubes up is the only easy way to do this. Also if your needing more room its easy to loosen the core support bolts to swing that brace out of the way. Its normally not necesarry but might help a first timer.

pretty easy and took 10 minutes. I removed the MAF sensor and then removed the rubber intake tub from the airbox. undo the airbox lid and replace the filter. reverse order in putting things back together.
