Remote for Venture 97rares 04-16-2004, 11:49 PM I bought a Chevy Venture 97, but the previous owner lost the remote. He just told me is a Surestart remote, 2 buttons, lock/unlock doors and starts the engine. He was firm about that. He even described the remote to me. Question: Is it possible for a 2 buttons remote to have engine start feature? I saw the one GM dealer showed me and the buttons are Lock and Unlock. hugaminivan 12-17-2004, 11:03 PM Sounds like an aftermarket remote car starter. Do a google search on "Surestart starters", and a few web pages will pop up for you. No, I don't believe that the '97 had a stock remote starter option. Mine only has the lock and unlock button., but I want an automatic remote starter for my van. She'd like that with these North Dakota winters up here. ponchonutty 12-18-2004, 01:10 PM I bought a Chevy Venture 97, but the previous owner lost the remote. One would do the locks, the other the trunk, and the 2 together did the starter. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
