75k mile tune up questiondefmusik 04-15-2004, 06:16 PM Ok I'm at a little over 77k now and the light turned red on my speedometer that means i need a tune up really soon, I was just wondering how important this tune up is, and if i really need to do it. I change my oil regulary and my tires were rotated like 2500 miles ago, what else is checked/replaced at the 75k mark? I have a 97 EX by the way..not that that really matters though. mycivic 04-15-2004, 06:23 PM Was a 60K tune-up done? If not...then do that one. Other than that...just refer to your manual...it usually says there. defmusik 04-15-2004, 06:31 PM see thats the thing, I'm not sure if the previous owner did that or not, i got the car at 69k, so i'm not really sure, the car seems to idle a little loud, but besides that the engine feels fine, just not sure about brakes, or other things like that which are usually inspected. Oh yeah the book doesn't mention what needs to be done at each point, it just says that you need to get it maintainenced..I remember seeing a little chart somewhere but I can't remember where, it wasn't in the owners manual that came with the car. If anyone knows the exact things it would be greatly appreciated if you could just post em up here. integrasedan 04-15-2004, 09:37 PM the previous owner might not have done 60k service because they knew they were selling the car soon. so get the tune up, and check airflilter. defmusik 04-15-2004, 09:47 PM filters fine, installed my cai only a couple thousand miles ago, maybe 2000 at the most vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
