Hydrolock Please helpkipperm13 04-14-2004, 01:45 AM Ok i know what Hydrolocking is. About 6-8 months ago i drove into a nice amount of water on the road. I have a hold air intake and just sucked up water into my engine. My car died on me but after a few cranks it started back up with a load of white smoke coming out the back. (Burning the water) but my car still run but there is a little clicking nose and sounds like its a rod but not sure. I have put over7,000 miles on it and really hasn't gotten any worse. It runs fine at High RPMs but just don't know what the ticking sounds it. Anyone know. B1SiR6A 04-14-2004, 02:26 AM Have you changed the oil since then ? BullShifter 04-14-2004, 02:26 AM Change all the fluids & do a valve adjustment then see what happens. Valve adjustment should be done at least every 30K. redmanjd 04-14-2004, 07:01 AM change your rod and crank bearings kipperm13 04-15-2004, 02:52 AM Yea i have gotten 3 oil changes already. But i never got a valve adjustment. I will try that and changing my rods and crank bearing will be one of the last things due to the money issue. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
