For those who have a strut/sway barJasIzBac 01-11-2002, 02:06 AM Okay i was wondering for those of who have the strut bar in the front. Is it kind of hard to get the oil filter off when you're changing your oil? I mean the bar being there does that create a problem? This might sound like a stupid question, but it just came to my mind when i was driving back from college. Jaspreet v_knot 01-11-2002, 09:20 AM I believe changing oil filter on the Gs is done undercarriage. If I am wrong..oh well, I am just thinking from lofting off work as well :p TeamNissan 01-11-2002, 09:26 AM No problem from the top either! :) spnx 01-11-2002, 09:34 AM I don't have a G20, but I have the same engine - for all intents and purposes, it's the same. Having the strut tower bar actually helps when removing the filter, because it gives you something to lean on. Useful, if your car is lowered - not so hard on your back then. A (lower) sway bar shouldn't get in the way either. The best way to do it is to reach in with left hand from the front and grip like a mad man or use a filter wrench, whatever works for you. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
