95 GC Limited, actsa up at stopsthoriason 04-11-2004, 04:52 PM I got a 96 GC Limited, and it likes to try to stall at stops after it gets warmed up, also I loose the oil pressure and other guages, can anyone tell me the problem, have had it to the shop, and they cannot find the problem, other than this it runs fine most of the time. HELP if you can....Thanks thoriason 04-11-2004, 04:52 PM oops, its a 95, sorry guys 95zj1 04-11-2004, 10:01 PM You might try cleaning the throttle body with some tb cleaner and a tooth brush. Clean the butterfly on both sides that might help with the stalling problem. My 95 idles around 500 and I was told thats about the norm. As far as the gauges, my oil guage stays past 80 when I'm moving and sometimes goes down to thirty at a stop. I've been told a lot of people have problems with the gauges, so I just check my oil and don't worry about it. Hope this can be of some help. :) Dsilver 04-22-2004, 10:07 PM When it doubt, ask the Oracle of the Jeep, Dale. dksob81 09-15-2004, 11:06 PM well 80 is quite high. it should be 40-60 while driving. sometimes a lil lower. I agree w/ 95zj1, I would clean the Throttle Body out w/ some TB or Carb cleaner, and make sure u clean out the Vacuum ports in the throttle body and Intake manifold. also check/replace Plugs and Wires.. doubt it's plugs and wires cuz u said u had no problem besides when u stop, but all it could do is help. dksob81 09-15-2004, 11:07 PM 1 more thing make sure u clean out the Idle Air Control Valve (motor) port. take it off and clean it thoroughly. glennco1 09-15-2004, 11:46 PM Also look at the EGR valve, this is a very typical of EGRs, they are supposed to close at idle, but if they don't, the vehicle will quit and start right back up again. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
