1992 240SX SE vs 03 Cavalier LSInnovaZero 04-09-2004, 11:37 AM Well my friend has the Cavy, and I have the 240SX. I'm racing him next week, both stock, both auto (bleh, I know, but I also shift when dragging, ya know 1st int 2nd into Drive (OD off)). Who ya'll think will win? His specs are: 2.2L EcoTec (DOHC) (Coupe) 140hp at 5600rpm 150lbs/ft at 4000rpm 2,676lbs Curb Weight Redline - 6700RPM FWD vs 2.4L KA24DE (DOHC) (Coupe) 155hp at 5600RPM 160lbs/ft at 4400RPM 2730lbs Curb Weight RedLINE - 6900RPM RWD Now I know ya say just race, but I wanted to now what ya think before hand, cause I know even though the specs say its my victory, be it drag or on a track, specs don't always tell the truth. Eventually too I would like to add Intake, Exhaust, Headers to my 240, and maybe an ECU this sould easily geting me running in the 15's somewhere. As I think the stock time for my car was said to be 16.1. Anyhoo thanks! DeViL 04-09-2004, 01:30 PM Jesus christ....Race and find out, stop asking us. Diablo_VT 04-09-2004, 02:12 PM never can tell but i'd say you'll probably win simply becuz your car has more torque and horsepower, its kind of disappointing that the new cavaliers only have 140hp, im sure their still kind of fast but 140hp is seriously weak for a new sports car/coupe like the cavalier... BeEfCaKe 04-09-2004, 02:48 PM cavalier? sports car? street_racer_00 04-09-2004, 03:26 PM cavalier? sports car? yes, an oxymoron at best. :iceslolan fugiot 04-09-2004, 03:28 PM If you both start even then it's gonna be REALLY close. Both cars(manual) run a 16.1 when stock. It depends on which car's slushbox loses more power. Polygon 04-09-2004, 05:11 PM I'm sorry, but I've had it with these threads. They simply clutter up the forums. If you're comparing the cars, we have a different forum for that. If you're talking about racing the two cars, then just go race them and tell us how it turned out, that is what this forum is for. There are just too many variables to consider to simply say who will win. From now on I am going to close these threads, they do nothing but clutter up the forum. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
