Just got this 97 GC 4x4 4.0L Laredo - With less than 1/8th tank, the jeep sputters during acceleration when turning left. With a Full Tank it works fine. Turning right it works fine. It is Almost like it is drawing in Air when the fuel shifts in the tank. Because it almost stops in traffic - then picks up after lateral forces are gone. I hate to think it is a ping-Pong Ball in the tank - Or something like that. Any other possibilities?
Thanks..

Thanks - I know it is a weird one... Without taking the tank out - Which I really don't want to do - I probably won't find out what it is.

Just curious, have you tried making right turns when your tank is at 1/8th or less to see if it happens only during left turns, or that it just happens, cause maybe your fuel injectors need to be replaced or something so when your gas is low, the pressure in your tank and fuel system is low and can't get the gas to the engine or something like that. That's all I can think of for now.

I've heard of this before and I think the only problem you have is that your low on gas. Do you know how accurate your gas gauge is? Making that turn is preventing gas been drawn to the engine thats all. Remember we have pretty big gas tanks.

Here's a similar post I had too. I still have that problem, nothing solved. But mine happens with any amount of gas in the tank, full to near empty.

I was thinking about installing a Fuel Pressure gauge inline between the tank and the engine. (On another note-another fuel filter as well) Then monitor the fuel pressure during those turns. But right now it only happens with a low tank - so when I have some time I'll try to resolve this one.

Sounds good, and until then, just keep your tank full at all times. :)
