Well this story is not amazing in any way, just something i found to be very funny though. Im just driving to get to Mr.Sub during my lunch break while im at at work and im at a red light. Being sunny and all i had the windows down and the music up (btw i'm in a 2001 dodge caravan sport, nothing fancy). So then these gino's pull up beside me (i can tell they were ginoish material cuz they had the gay laser music, and the guys all had their hair mad gelled). Anyways, i looked over and laughed at them, and they start revving at me (the 2 of em were in a tiburon, 1st gen). I thought this would be fun to see how these 2 cars would compare, seeing as I know absolutely nothing about Tiburons or much about my own damn car. Anyways, light turns green and we both gun it, and surprisingly enough i get ahead of him and stayed there, he wasnt too far behind, maybe 1-1 1/2 car lenght. Either way the expression on these guys' face were priceless....Beat by a minivan!

Agreed that Tiburons do suck, although I've heard about the Tiburon II V6 something thats supposibly not a car you would toy with. I don't remember the name, but remember some guy talking about how not ALL Tiburons suck. Yea the minivan isn't my typical racing car, jsut what I had at the time. The van keeps up with my Talon till about 80 km/h then the talon takes off, ah well, all in good fun....look for more postings in the future of other cars that race with the van :D

Ok everyone calm down. People are too touchy these days about anything realted to classification. The fact is that ginos were originally Arabs and originated there so it's simply a fact. It's not like it was a racial slur or anything it was simply a background.

Well i didn't go out and label everyone by ethnic backround. I don't care where a person is from, i don't discriminate on race. All i'm saying is that these ppl were your typical gino's and that is what I called them. It's like calling a mustang with gtr badges a ricer, or a cavalier type r a ricer. Our world is full of stereotypes. For instance, here in Down Town Long Beach we have a resturaunt called Rosco's House of Chicken and Waffles. You get fried chicken, and a waffle. There are paintings of black people and paintings of chickens. And if I remember right, all the paintings are set back in 'slavory' days.

The really Ironic thing about the place is the club that's inside of it. The 'Cotton' Club. Some people may find this to be racial, or offensive. But truth be told, 96% of the people who eat there are ... you guessed it... Black. When me and my friend go there for fried chicken and a waffle, we're the minority.. only two white guys in the joint.

So as far as I'm concerned, nothing wrong was said. People are too touchy these days anyways... people need to stop being such babies and man up.

I didnt think it would be wrong either, but appearantly it did offend some people in this forum. Like I said, the point of this post was to humor some, but it ended up being a clash of whther or not what I said was appropriate

Hey... It didn't offend me! I'm Mexican/American! I just mentioned that he should watch his words 'cus someone else may get offended! I would say the same thing if someone said 'honkey', 'beaner' or what not! I'm just looking out for the forums, guys! If the wrong-anal-of-a-persons walks into these forums and sees stuff like that posted... I'm sure alot could be done! Racial/Stereotypical labels dont bother me one bit. Its when the egotistical blacks in my school go around in the halls and call me a cracker as i walk by, then they go around in their black-only school sponsered clubs and preach against prejudice. Dear lord the hippocricy!
