I have turned off the AC (per the amber inside switch) and even turned off the fan with no success. The only thing I can do to save my battery is to disconnect it. HELP! Hi you left the last number in the year of your jeep, email me and i'llsee if i can come up wiht something to help you dale jeepman600@aol.com :smokin: cas297 09-21-2004, 01:42 PM My 99 jeep cheokee limited has a similar issue but the fan will not turn on. if i go over a bump or turn hard the fan will kick on but other then that it stays off. I also put my hand in front of the vents and the faster i go the more air will blow out. it is very cold so i believe it is A/C. I think it might be a bad fan switch on the control panel of the dash? Anyone else hear or see this issue and know how to resolve it. Craig chrys 11-06-2004, 09:12 PM HI, THERE IS A BLACK BOX RIGHT BEHIND THE BATTREY WITH RELAYS & FUSES TURN THE LID OF THE BOX. I checked the fan and it works when directly connected to the battery, so it has to be related to something else. Does anyone know what the relay looks like to try switching. I switched the two bigger square ones, but it did not fix the problem. Any other ideas?? Thanks! ArLouJeep 12-29-2004, 10:35 PM ok guys, here is what I found, I have a 2001 JGC, that the fan realy went out on, the fan worked fine when attached directly to the battery, I got the relay, which by the way is a dealer only item. It is located behind the facia, under the battery, on the passenger side fenderwell. You have to remove the headlight, and front facia, although there is a chance that you can remove the passenger headling, and cut a hole in to reach the relay, two simple bolts hold it in. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
