My baby, Natalie, is a 1993 Lumina Euro with the 3.1L 60* VIN T V-6 (LHO) and she just turned 202,152.8 miles. Not bad considering when I bought her for $750 last July, she had four bald tires (two of them flat), her tranny fluid was brown and the oil was a semi-solid. It's amazing how people treat cars and how much work it takes to fix them after they change owners. But the best part is that Natalie still has the juice to spin her rubber for a good ten feet. :)

My 92 3.1 v6 has 186,700. just had topside rebuilt and replaced fuel pump. All in all super clean comfy ride. best of all getting about 23 miles to the gallon in town! not bad for a "free car" only paid 600 for the engine repair,50 for fuel pump, car was free!

I have a 93 with the dohc 3.4. She just turned 104,000 today. I just put a tranny in it last week on my drive way. LOTS OF FUN!!! Besides that, it isn't too bad since I have replaced everything else too.

98 3.1 with 128k.

Two words: VISOR CLIP!!!

About to replace those leaky intake gaskets and browsing the forums for insight on what to expect.

No repairs just maintenance.

Ditto on the visor clip.
My 98 LTZ 3.8l just turned 230K. I've replaced the tension pulley once and belt twice. About to replace the Multifunction switch (no stop lights on bottom but top working) and now the A/C compressor clutch is slipping. Can't complain though at 230K. Car still has plenty of power and looks great.

I bought a 96 with a 3.1, brand new. 100K and the only "breakdown" I had was the accessory belt shredding at 75K. The rear brakes also fell apart. Other than that, still a tight, strong running car.

I have a 90 with a 3.1. It's got over 246000kms. or 153000 miles on it and still going strong. I just found out it will even run with no oil showing on the stick, although it was getting a little bit of a tick to it. Huh, imagine that. ;)

1991 Z34 =227,000 -the engine itself is still running strong.oh yeah i have had my share of problems with it mostly alternators 3 too be exact. and the timing belts and pulleys it runs on...2 sets of those.i have the local shop do that.there hard too get timed but he does it right..i just replaced the starter with a Delco. but when i dropped the frame in the front too get too it, i developed a small leak on the hose that runs the passenger side of the frame...it was rusty.. so i am glad it happened now instead of later...i have no idea where the back of that hose runs too...i presume that i will have too pull the engine ahead too get too it...any ideas where it goes into,on the rear of the engine? and also i noticed that the boot on the inner transaxle is split.

I have you all beat! I have a 92 lumina 3.1 with 303,000 on it. Rebuilt the engine at 275,000. What have I replaced? Water pump, Alternator, Intake manifold ( water outlet corroded into manifold - dissimilar metals), AC compressor (3 times), Fuel pump 3 times (always replace with a delco brand- Brand X pumps fail after 6 mos. with oxy- blend fuels), water level sensor (corroded), struts (all), This car is notorious for bad brakes!, rear fiberglass suspension spring. Looks like the engine will outlast the seats and dash board! Oh well....It still runs like new! Can't believe the transmission is still running smooth. Change the fluid often!!! :lol2:

I got a 92' Eurosport with a 3.1L with 143K and the only major probs I have had with her is the compressor clutch...It kept on tearing up belts so after 3 of those I decide to just pull the whole thing out(I know I could have got one from a junkyard for like 60 bucks but I lived in cold michigan when I did it so I didn't see the need)....I tried forever to find the pully out a Lumina that didn't have a/c but couldn't find one so I just got a pully to fit the serpentine belt and bolted that on one of the bolt holes for the compressor....I did bust one of the super corroded coolent lines when pulling the compressor but I juse cut a few feet of the corroded part out and clamped some heater hose on it....Other than that and the alternator which was no biggie shes been pretty good to me.....

I have a 1993 3.1 with 150,215 on it. although it runs strong it loves to stall and make me wait 7 to 15 minutes between starts and does this constantly for about and hour and then after an hour it usually runs fine...but when it isn't too busy stalling it runs like a champ.

97 Lumina LS(not sure) 3.1 59,000 miles on it, just bought it, however and the service engine light keeps going on for a day then off for a day, and right before it turns off, I get a gust of hot air through the vents. Also it needs new coolant and I don't know how to change it. However I love the way it drives, and the engine is so so quiet. Please also look for my 2 other posts and reply to them if you like. would be awesome.

'97, 116,000, 1 battery, 1 water pump, 1 serp belt, 1 set of plugs. Regular service (synthetic oil, w/Slick 50 every 50,000), no problems. Uses no oil, leaks nothing. Everything works perfectly. Best car I've ever owned. "Check Engine" light comes on about every three months, we go for a 90 mph blast for a few miles, light is gone.

my winter beater is a 91 with 225k, no major problems. bought it for $100, someone thought a plug was stuck in the head during a tune up and needed a tear down to fix. I got the plug out and have been driving it since. doesn't use oil, gets 25+ mpg and drives excellent. The only thing I've done is put brakes on it.

91 3.1L euro, 190,000k (119,000m)

Cost me $2100 CDN last January, a little overpriced considering how many things I've done to it. Never saw it in the daylight until after I bought it (shopping for cars after work in january in Alberta is not the best time). When I did see it in the light of day I realized it had been fairly badly abused by it previous owners. But the handling and acceleration were what pulled be into the buy, and I have since fallen in love with it for these reasons. The cost of repair was mostly in time rather than money anyway.

my 97 Lumina is just about to cross over into the 100K mile mark

The only things I have replaced are a fan belt, water pump, added a can of r134-a refigerant and the master switch thing for the power windows, and a new hood after some idiot literally backed his raised 4-Runner on top of my Lumina and then had the nerve to drive off leaving me screaming:swear:at the top of my lungs

(and the regular maintenance stuff aswell)

It still goes strong and I drive the hell out of that thing day in and day out

I have 1990 3.1 Euro with 219,459 on it, but sadly, it blew a head gasket and while in the process, the block cracked where the gasket failed. In over 100,000 miles before that, however, I only replaced the alternator and performed gen. maintenance. I got a new engine for free though, and it's back running strong again!

I have a 1992 Lumina APV mini van. with the 3.8.
I just turned over 280,000 miles. This van has been great!!!

Many wisconsin winters and backroads under its drivetrain.
Only real problem is I have replaced 2 water pumps.
I need to replace some front suspension parts soon, but small price to pay. This car has the lowest $/mile ratio of any car/truck/van I've ever had.

body still looks great even with 2 teenage drivers having put a large number of miles on it.

99 Lumina LTZ, white. 105,000 miles. Looks great and runs well too.(has a rough idle once in a while)

1991 3.1 V6 EURO, 195,000 miles. No major repairs so far (thank God), only regular maintenance stuff (brakes, plugs, wires, battery, tires). Ignition problems twice (ICM). Replaced strut cartridges and shocks plus the top bearings and a hub bearing (these were the most expensive but all together were below $300, including labor). I can still get 28 mpg on highway but I plan to buy a newer Lumina.

98. 120k miles.replaced: alternator, batteries, fuel filter (several) constantly adding injector cleaners... check engine light is on. Also replaced rotors, surpentine, a/c compressor, t. pulley, rear cylinders, a few more things.. can't remember. Car was very well behaved until about 1 year ago. Things have just been going one after another since. Previous fleet vehicle. Still love the hell out of the car... despite it's problems. They could've gave a better built interior. I don't beat it up... but it's starting to fall apart. Visor clips? Mine are screwed. They fall out. One won't clip back... and one does until you pull the visor back past a certain point.

91 Euro 2 door. 160k. Wisconsin salt has eaten the bottom drivers side rear quarterpanel. Replaced (so far): AC units (pump/condenser), strut assemblies, entire rear braking system, other than that just general maintenance. Probably one of the better cars I've ever owned. Had it for over 2 years and dropped less than $2k in repairs.

Have a little over 130k on a PD package one. Has been a good car, did a lot of maintainence when I first got it, apparently it became the parts car of the fleet. A lot of bad parts were put on it just prior to auction. Replaced the alternator, all 4 rotors, (wrong ones were put on it, the calipers kept blowing out, becuse of it)and all 4 tires. Runs great, 24 MPG up until now, check my post about the oil cooler.
